Dale Thompson

Biography
Dale has always had a passion for all things aviation, starting when his uncle first took him flying at age 6. He began flight lessons the summer out of high school and earned his private pilot certificate shortly after. Dale served in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic on C130 airplanes and helicopters.
After leaving the Air Force, Dale earned his Airframe and Powerplant certificate from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona, FL. He worked as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) for more than 20 years for cargo airlines including Airborne Express.
After working outside of aviation for 14 years, Dale retired and is once again actively involved in his life-long passion, this time as a flight instructor at Frederick Flight Center. Dale eagerly shares his love of flying and is proud to watch his students excel in their knowledge and skills.
