Aircraft Leaseback Program
Looking for a way to monetize your aircraft?
Many pilots like to own their own aircraft for a variety of reasons however they have trouble finding the time to get in the air. It is better for the aircraft to be flying instead of sitting at a tiedown or in a hangar never being flown. An option for aircraft owners to monetize their aircraft is to lease it back.
Why leaseback with us?
At any of our Advanced Aviation Group schools, we are committed to ensuring safe and proficient pilots are flying your aircraft at all times. In addition, we give you the flexibility to set restrictions on who can fly your aircraft. For example, you could decide that you only want instrument rated pilots and above flying your aircraft. You may also set your own rental price on the aircraft. Our in-house maintenance department will ensure all inspections are being completed in a timely manner preventing your aircraft from sitting around waiting for work to be completed.
When should you leaseback your aircraft?
Although aircraft and owner is different, some of the main reasons to leaseback your aircraft include:
You own an airplane but do not fly it often enough
Would like to reduce the costs of flying for yourself
You would like to monetize your aircraft that would otherwise be doing nothing
You would like to get into the aviation industry
Tips for increasing flight time in your leaseback aircraft
Customers have their choice of aircraft selection when it comes to scheduling, therefore making a few changes to your aircraft can increase customer satisfaction and therefore flight time:
Modern avionics. The better the avionics are, the more people will want to fly your aircraft
A fresh paint job free of scratches and chips
A well-performing low-time engine
Clean interior
An overall look of safety and reliability
What are the cons?
All though leasebacks are a great option for many, it does come with some downsides that those considering should be aware of. Leasebacks can accelerate the wear and tear on your aircraft as flight training brings along stress on your aircraft. When your aircraft is put on our schedule, you will have to book your aircraft like any other student or renter which may take away some of the flexibility of aircraft ownership however there is of course no limit on how often you fly your own aircraft.
What are the best leaseback aircraft?
Popular leaseback aircraft are the standard Cessna 172, Cessna 152, Piper Archer and some basic complex aircraft such as the Piper Arrow or Diamond DA40. We can help you search for and purchase the right aircraft for you and your potential leaseback, more information can be found on our sales and brokerage page.
