Biography
Ed is a retired high school teacher (U.S. History and Aviation Science). At a young age Ed was inspired by his uncle, a Naval aviator during WW II, to become a pilot. As a senior in high school he attained his private pilot license. Following three years as an artillery officer in the Army and earning a Masters degree in Education, he eventually (1989) became a flight instructor. Several years later Ed earned a FAA "Gold Seal" instructor designation. Since then he has taught numerous ground school courses at several airports and at Montgomery College. In 2005, Ed earned his ATP rating. His Ph.D. dissertation involved a qualitative investigation of aeronautical decision-making processes. Ed also flew as a part-time corporate co-pilot (King Air BE-200 and Pilatus PC-12NG). As a flight instructor at FFC he looks forward to helping both current and aspiring aviators gain the skills necessary to become safe and proficient pilots.
