Frequently Asked Questions

Upon calling our front desk, we will first begin with setting you up an account on Flight Schedule Pro. Please verify whether you want a fight in an airplane or a helicopter, as the corresponding prices for each are different. We will then look for a possible date (if you intend on booking it at the time of purchase) and take payment information. Each flight requires a full non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. The money will remain on the account until the flight is conducted. Unless you buy additional merchandise, you won’t be responsible for any purchases when you come in.

Just bring yourself! Please make sure you dress for the weather, especially in the winter. When you come in, we will take care of a little bit of paperwork and then send you off with your instructor. You will go through a preflight, and then start-up and takeoff. Once you’re in the air, your instructor will generally take you over towards Harpers Ferry, WV or Westminster, MD. Depending on your level of comfort, the instructor will let you manipulate the controls a little bit and get a feel for your aircraft.
-
Unfortunately, no. Discovery flights are considered training flights, therefore no passengers are allowed due to FAA regulation.

Yes! You will likely get around 0.4 to 0.6 hours of flight time and may add it to your logbook. If you do not have a logbook, you are more than welcome to purchase one in our in-store shop and have your instructor sign it. If you are considering continuing your flying journey, we highly recommend you log this flight. Every bit counts!
