Biography

Having caught the aviation spark as a young kid going on vacation, Colin has been flying since he was 14 at Frederick Flight Center with aspirations to become a flight instructor throughout high school.  He started working at the front desk at the Flight Center and began accumulating experience in the company and the aviation industry.  Now a student at Purdue University studying Aviation Management, Colin returns at any chance he can get still working seasonally on school breaks.

Flight instruction combines two of Colin’s keen interests: flying and teaching.  Being a sailing instructor in the summer has taught him how to become an effective teacher.  You may also see Colin teaching both private and instrument ground schools, seeing this as a way to inspire the next generation of pilots, whether it be the start of a career or a lifelong passion.
